Alanna Gill - The Phonics Fox

Hello! I'm Alanna. I am so excited to bring these fun, educational classes to Potters Bar, Welwyn and Hatfield.

I am passionate about Early Years and giving children the very best start to their education. I have a Foundation Degree in Early Years and Education which I have put into practice over the last 20 years in various Early Years settings. I was a Day Nursery Manager for 5 years.

I am a Mother to six children- ranging in age from 22 to 3 years old. I taught my older children to read and write using my own knowledge and experience.

I was so excited to find out about The Phonics Fox® and I brought my two youngest children to classes. My youngest son attended for nearly two years and he is now thriving in Reception. These classes have provided such a solid foundation for learning.

The concept of introducing phonics before starting school in such a playful way that draws on all strands of the EYFS is just brilliant! I have discovered first hand how these classes really build confidence in early literacy.

I can't wait to be part of your children's learning journeys and share the magic of The Phonics Fox® with you too!

Booking open for Autumn Term classesIf classes are full, please add yourself to our waiting list.

We are so sad it’s over! Thank you so much for a brilliant six weeks. Leandro has learned so much and his confidence in writing has been amazing! Before we started, he wouldn’t even pick up a pen or pencil and try to write as he would get frustrated, but now he can hold it correctly and has even managed to write the letters he has learned!

Thank you, Alanna. You were amazing!
